Intellectual Property & Content Ownership Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains ownership of the materials involved in a project — before, during, and after delivery.

01Client-provided materials

The client retains ownership of original materials supplied by the client.

The client grants AI Design Gen a limited license to use those materials for the purpose of completing the project.

02Final deliverables

Ownership of completed deliverables transfers according to the signed agreement and only after all applicable invoices are paid in full.

03Pre-existing tools

AI Design Gen retains ownership of:

  • Internal methods
  • Reusable code
  • Frameworks
  • Templates
  • Processes
  • Workflows
  • Design systems
  • Libraries
  • Automation methods
  • Business tools
  • General know-how

The client receives only the usage rights specifically granted in the project agreement.

04Third-party assets

Third-party assets remain subject to their original licenses, including:

  • Fonts
  • Stock photography
  • Icons
  • Plugins
  • Templates
  • Software
  • AI platforms
  • Open-source code

05Concepts and rejected designs

Unselected concepts, drafts, and rejected design directions remain the property of AI Design Gen unless otherwise agreed in writing.

06Payment requirement

No ownership transfer occurs until required payment has been received.
